Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 1 October 2026
These terms govern your use of the Pixel Studio Android app (“the App”) and the website pixelstudio.jenix.in (“the Website”), provided by Jenix (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the App you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. What the App does
The App lets you design lighting programs – effects, text and artwork – for addressable LED pixel lights, preview them on your phone and send them to a compatible pixel controller over the controller’s local Wi-Fi network. The App is provided free of charge.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Android devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the App except where the law expressly allows it.
3. Your content
- Text, images and designs you create or upload remain yours. We do not receive them – see our Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any logo, photo or text you display, and that what you show on your lights is lawful and not offensive.
- The built-in artworks and presets may be used freely on your own lighting installations, including commercial displays such as shop signs and events.
4. Safe and lawful use of lighting hardware
- LED installations involve electricity. Install, power and wire pixels and controllers according to the manufacturer’s instructions and local electrical rules, using a qualified person where required.
- Respect the power-supply, current and brightness limits of your hardware. The App’s pixel, frame-rate and brightness limits help, but they do not replace correct wiring, fusing and power injection.
- Fast flashing or strobing light can affect people with photosensitive epilepsy. Use such effects responsibly in public places.
- Follow local rules on public displays, light pollution and advertising signage.
5. Compatibility
The App is designed for Jenix pixel controllers (ESP-01, ESP32-C3 and ESP32-S3 based) and detects which features each controller supports. Features, pixel limits and performance vary by controller, firmware version, wiring and the number of pixels. Other or modified controllers may not work as expected.
6. Updates and availability
We may update the App to add features, fix problems or keep it compatible with Android and our controllers. Some features may require updating your controller firmware. We may change or discontinue the App or the Website at any time.
7. Disclaimer
The App and Website are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that they will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that every design will look the same on every installation. Your use of the App with lighting hardware is at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jenix is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss – including damage to lights, power supplies or property, loss of business or loss of data – arising from use of, or inability to use, the App or the Website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
