Privacy Policy
Effective date: 1 October 2026
In short: Pixel Studio has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Your designs, layouts and saved devices are stored only on your phone. The app communicates only with the pixel controller you connect to on your local Wi-Fi network. We do not collect, sell or share your personal data.
1. Who we are
This policy applies to the Pixel Studio Android app (package one.jenix.pixelcontroller, also shown as “Jenix Pixel”) and the website pixelstudio.jenix.in, both provided by Jenix (“we”, “us”). Pixel Studio lets you design effects, text and artwork for addressable LED pixel lights and send them to a compatible Jenix pixel controller.
2. Information the app handles
All of the following stays on your device or goes only to your own controller. None of it is sent to us.
- Your designs and settings – saved programs, playlists, text you type, colour choices, layout details (columns, pixels, spacing, wiring) and app preferences. Stored in the app’s private storage on your phone.
- Saved controllers – the name, Wi-Fi network name (SSID), local IP address, hardware and firmware version of controllers you choose to save, and a short history of scenes you sent to them. Stored on your phone.
- Images you choose – when you upload artwork, you select an image through Android’s standard picker. The app converts it into pixel colours on your phone. Only those pixel colours are sent to your controller; the original image is not stored by the app and is never uploaded to us.
- Controller status – the app reads information such as firmware version, uptime, free memory and current effect from your controller to show it on screen.
3. Information we do not collect
- We do not ask for your name, e-mail, phone number or any account details.
- We do not collect your location, contacts, camera, microphone or files other than an image you explicitly pick.
- The app contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell or share any data with third parties, because we do not receive any.
4. Network and permissions
The app requests the Android Internet and Network state permissions. They are used only to talk to your pixel controller over your local Wi-Fi network (for example at the address 192.168.4.1) and to check whether that connection is available. This local communication uses plain HTTP because the controller has no internet access; it stays between your phone and your controller.
If you tap a link to an external website (such as jenixindia.com), it opens in your browser and that website’s own privacy policy applies.
5. This website
pixelstudio.jenix.in is an informational website. It has no sign-up forms and does not use cookies or analytics. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google’s servers to download them; see Google’s privacy policy for details. Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
6. Data retention and deletion
Because your data lives on your phone, you are in full control of it:
- Delete individual programs or saved devices inside the app at any time.
- Clear all app data from Android Settings → Apps → Jenix Pixel → Storage → Clear data, or simply uninstall the app.
- Programs and playlists already sent to a controller stay in that controller’s memory until you replace them, turn them off, or reset the controller.
We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
7. Children’s privacy
Pixel Studio is a general-audience tool for controlling lighting hardware and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
8. Security
Your data stays within Android’s private app storage and your local network. Protect your controller’s Wi-Fi with its password and do not share it with people you do not want to control your lights.
9. Changes to this policy
If the app’s data practices change, we will update this page and the effective date above before the change takes effect.
